My List of the Seasons
My list of the seasons is as follows:
Fall
Winter
Spring
Summer
Or it used to be.
My updated list of the seasons is as follows:
Spring
Summer
Fall
Winter
I used to hate summer because of its mosquito bites
And too-hot sun
And scary thunderstorms.
I used to not like spring because it was just a
More-boring version of summer
With more bugs.
Now I think spring is the best season
Spring has all of the best parts of summer
With more color
And of course, there are more bugs
But bugs don’t care about me the way I care about them.
The bugs are just living
And I should too
Without placing the blame on spring.
I used to hate summer
But it’s not so bad
Especially with pools and beaches
And blue-raspberry slushies
Summer was never that bad.
Fall and winter are now at the bottom of my list
Only because winter isn’t very fun without snow
And fall pools into winter
Feeling like a perpetual wait
And a long-drawn-out silence.
My list of the seasons is as follows:
Spring
Summer
Fall*
Winter*
With a star next to fall and winter
For when the fall starts to fall
And the snow starts to stick
They might move back up the list.

Hey! Today's poem needs no explanation and is a little break from the more serious ones that were the last three. This one is literally just an explanation of which seasons I like more and a fun fact about it is that I wrote it outside, in a notebook which I don't normally do. Since there isn't much to talk about with this poem, I'm going to tell you all about my life these past few weeks.
So, not much has been happening, but only because it's summer and I am a firm believer that everyone should be doing nothing during the summer because it's the one time to do nothing. I have been watching a lot of movies though. A couple of weeks ago I did an entire marvel movie marathon, skipping out on the Spiderman movies (they're not on Disney+) and the X-Men movies (I stuck with the avengers). Overall it was really fun, I had already seen all of the movies before but I wanted to refresh my memory on them. What started my need to watch them again actually was the Loki series, I watched the Loki show and really liked it, and I had liked Loki (the character) beforehand, but because (light spoilers !!) Loki sets up the whole multiverse and all of that I wanted to get my marvel/avengers knowledge up to date. I watched them in chronological order and it took me a little over a week to watch all of them (21 movies !!).
Now more recently, I watched the Fear Street trilogy and I normally hate thrasher movies, but I really liked Fear Street. The trilogy is about the town of Shadyside, and how multiple mass murders have been going on in the town for centuries with the perpetrators being really regular normal people. You follow a group of teenagers as they discover the lore of Shadyside and the story of Sarah Fier, who is supposedly the witch behind all of the murder. I don't want to give too much away because I want you all to watch the series for yourselves, but as someone who is an avid hater of horror and gore, they were amazing movies.
Lastly, I watched an adorable movie called Wish Dragon, which put simply is like a Chinese version of Aladdin. It is much better than that description, but in the movie, the main character Din wants to reconnect with his childhood bestfriend Li Na and he stumbles upon a magical teapot. In the teapot is a wish dragon who can grant him 3 wishes, and he uses it to get closer to Li Na. Wish Dragon is such a cute movie and has actually become one of my comfort movies! The end is really heartwarming and, once again, I don't want to spoil this movie for you, but it's great.
Both the Fear Street trilogy and Wish Dragon can be found on Netflix, and all of the marvel movies are on Disney Plus. I hope you enjoyed the break from my usual, like, analysis content, and I hope you watch the movies. Have a nice night, or day, and remember something strange is better than anything bland.
